Averaging nearly 150 fabulous ladies during an event, WOT at Lima SABRES has risen to be the premiere Ladies Only shooting event in our region! With opportunity to shoot Trap (shotguns), Smallbore rifle, high-power rifle and both rim-fire and center-fire handguns with expert guidance and instruction throughout the day; there is sure to be a wealth of valuable experience and knowledge to be gained.
Following a brief introduction and a welcome, ladies are sent to the ranges for hands on instruction. Those seeking to use their own firearms are welcome to do so, please note however, that if you choose to do so, you must also bring your own ammunition; otherwise, we will provide proper protective gear and everything required to make your day a safe and enjoyable experience.
GSSF at SABRES!
The GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) is a safe, fun, family-oriented organization devoted to the responsible use of GLOCK firearms and encouraging participation in shooting sports. Competitions across the United States provide opportunities for shooters of all skill levels and experience to compete together in simple, but challenging courses of fire. There are seven divisions available to shoot in at each match. Your model of GLOCK pistol and your shooting expertise will determine your eligibility for each division. You may shoot in all divisions for which you are eligible. Number of rounds and magazines needed changes based on the division.
GSSF Membership Benefits
GSSF membership is required of all competitors. As a Public Match, membership to Lima SABRES is not required. An annual GSSF membership for an individual is $35 the first year and $25 each subsequent year for renewal. For a family of 3-6 people, the cost is $90 for the first year and $70 for renewal. GSSF members are eligible to compete in any GSSF match throughout the country. Members are eligible to purchase firearms through our affiliation with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) and GLOCK firearms may also be available to members at better than normal retail prices through GLOCK’s Discount Pistol Purchase Program. GSSF members are also eligible to attend the GLOCK Armorer, Advanced Armorer, Operator, Brilliance in the Basics and Low Profile Carry classes through GLOCK Training.
GLOCK Girls & Juniors
GSSF is excited to announce GLOCK Girls as a new Division. This is a Ladies-Only Division open to females of all ages and will run concurrently with your favorite outdoor GSSF match. Ladies will compete in a separate division using the same rules and gun models allowed in the Competition division. Open to all amateur and master females with the same prize structure as in Competition. Most ranges have no age restrictions, as long as the person is able to handle the firearm safely and understands the range commands and instructions. For matches that occur at ranges with age restrictions, there will be a post to inform of the fact ahead of time.
